Careers at Boston Brokers

Join a firm where
the work still matters.

We hire fewer people and pay them properly. A senior-led brokerage looking for brokers, analysts, and advisors who want to run great deals — not grind volume.

Why people stay.

Business brokering is one of the most rewarding careers in commercial services — when the firm around you is built for quality, not volume. Ours is.

01
Mandates that matter.
You work on fewer, larger, more considered sales — not a churn of $50k businesses and cold-call targets. Every mandate deserves — and gets — real attention.
02
Senior from day one.
You’re not a number on a bullpen floor. You own your relationships, your pipeline, and your reputation in market. Senior partners mentor, they don’t gatekeep.
03
Equity-style thinking.
Real commission structures aligned with outcomes, not activity. You close well, you earn well. No squeeze, no clawbacks, no surprises.

Senior Business Broker

Melbourne (hybrid)
Full-time / Part-time · Senior

  • Run confidential marketing, buyer qualification, and IM preparation
  • Lead valuation discussions with owners and negotiate structure with buyers
  • Shepherd deals through DD, contracts, lender approvals, and settlement
  • Represent Boston Brokers externally with accountants, lawyers, and business owners
What we’re looking for
  • 5+ years in business brokering, M&A, corporate advisory, or equivalent commercial experience
  • A track record closing transactions in the $500k–$10M range
  • Strong judgement, low ego, and an instinct for confidentiality
  • Comfortable leading difficult conversations — with owners, buyers, and advisors

Associate Broker / Deal Analyst

Melbourne (hybrid)

Support senior brokers across the deal lifecycle while building toward running your own mandates. A structured path for a finance-strong professional who wants to move into business brokering without starting from zero.

What you’ll do
  • Build information memoranda, financial analyses, and valuation models
  • Run initial buyer screening and qualification conversations
  • Coordinate due diligence requests and data room management
  • Maintain the CRM and pipeline hygiene across live mandates
  • Progress toward independently leading mid-market mandates
What we’re looking for
  • 2–4 years in Big 4 / mid-tier advisory, commercial banking, corporate finance, or business valuation
  • Strong financial modelling and written communication
  • A genuine interest in private businesses — not just the numbers
  • Discretion, patience, and a long-term orientation
  • CA/CPA progress or completion (bonus)

The way we work

We’ve built a firm that looks more like an old-world advisory practice than a modern sales floor — small, senior-led, and allergic to the kind of commission-chasing culture that wrecks reputations and relationships.

If you’re used to racing to the next deal before the last one closes, we are not the right fit. If you’d rather run six excellent mandates a year than sixty average ones, we probably are.

Our people stay because the work is still interesting, the people across the table are still serious, and the firm behind them still backs the long view. We protect that carefully. We hire in line with it.
